The National convener, Truth to Power Network, Joseph Bagudu has carpeted Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi over his Presidential declaration, twelve days after the attack on the ill-fated Kaduna bound passenger train by terrorists.
Terrorists had on Monday, 28 March, attacked the Kaduna bound passenger train, killing scores and abducting hundreds of passengers.
While the nation is still grieving over the unfortunate incident, Amaechi, whose transportation ministry was attacked, invited friends and party members to his home state to launch his presidential ambition.

Bagudu who also doubles as the National Coordinator, Middle Belt Youth Patriotic Front ( MBYPF) accused the minister of being “heartless” to the victims of the train attack.
According to him: “In a saner clime, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi should have resigned his appointment and appologised to Nigerians for failing the country and its citizens after the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train by terrorists that ended the lives of many Nigerians.”
“The Presidential declaration by Minister Amaechi even when victims of the train attack were still with the abductors in a horrible situation, is a shame.
“This show of shame is worse than terrorism itself and stands condemned in its entirety.
“Worst of all is to imagine that characters like this are the ones piloting the affairs of our country. It shows that these are people whose humanity is long dead and buried.
“Human life in our country has lost its essence and value on the watch of these characters, hence the urgent need and call for the young people in this country to rise up and take back their country from these heartless characters masquerading as leaders.
“Victims of Amaechi’s decision and indecision are still in the hands of terrorists, some still on their hospital beds, some still in the morgue and young Dr Chinelo whose life was cut short because of leadership failure, has just been buried.

“And yet a man at the centre of this avoidable incident still has the courage to declare to want to be President of this country. It tells you the mindset and character of the person called Rotimi Amaechi,” says Bagudu.
