Gunmen suspected of be bandits attacked the Sabon Layi community in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing three persons and kidnapping several others.
While confirming the incident a community leader identified as Anas Musa said that the bandits stormed Sabon Layi village at about midnight on Thursday and started shooting sporadically, killing three farmers in the process.
According to him, the names of the victims are Anas Sabonlayi, Abubakar Dankibiya, and Harisu Un-Guwar Lemu.
Also, the Chairman of Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union (BEPU), Usman Kasai, confirmed the attack, saying they are trying to ascertain the exact number of those kidnapped and still with the bandits inside the forest.
The police in Kaduna State did not provide statement when contacted by THEQUEST TIMES did comment on the incident.
Recalled that Kaduna is one of the North-Western states hit by banditry in the past few months.
