The federal government has unveiled an extended list of motor parks where Nigerians can enjoy a 50% discount on transportation costs for their return trips during the festive season.
The official announcement came through a post on the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi’s X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, December 29. This move underscores the government’s commitment to easing the financial burden of travel for passengers during the yuletide.
Initially launched on Monday, December 25, the 50% transportation discount has already benefited 128 road transport passengers on northern routes. A participating group overseeing the initiative reported that half of their fares were refunded.
