The Qatari government has reversed its decision to decline a business and investment meeting during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s forthcoming visit in March 2024.
Initially, there was uproar following the leaked rejection letter circulating on social media.
The Qatari government, in the leaked memo, stated the absence of Mohammed Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, as the primary reason for the refusal. This decision stirred controversy and attracted criticism directed at President Tinubu.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Qatar has now consented to host the business and investment forum.
