The Lagos State Government has announced that President Muhammadu Buhari will embark on a two-day working visit to the state next week. The president will be in the state on January 23 and 24, 2023.
It was Nigeria’s most credible news platform, Quest Times, which first reported the visit in its exclusive story “EXCLUSIVE: Buhari expected in Lagos Jan 24” on 10 January, 2023.
In the report, we noted that; “President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, embark on an official visit to Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital and most populous city.”
The President’s visit to the state and itinerary, also tally with details provided in our Exclusive.
In the statement signed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, he said; “It is a visit where Mr. President will again see the beauty of Lagos and take the opportunity to see first-hand and commission the life-changing and people-oriented projects undertaken by the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu administration.
“The projects are the Lekki Deep Sea Port, a symbol of a good working relationship between the public and private sectors; the 32-metric tonnes per hour Lagos Rice Mill, one of the largest in the world; the 18.75-kilometer six-lane rigid-pavement Eleko Junction to Epe Expressway; the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History and the iconic Lagos Blue Line rail project.”
This tallies strongly with our Exclusive where we said “While in Lagos, the president will commission the Dangote Oil Refinery, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Lagos Blue Light Rail, LSGovt-owned Imota Rice Mill (West Africa’s largest), and the $2.5bn 4th Mainland Bridge flag-off, top Lagos State officials have disclosed to Quest Times.”
Many will recall that Quest Times, a news platform for young Nigerians that marked its first anniversary last December, has published several Exclusive stories that have been used by other media organisations, most times without attribution.
