In a surprising revelation, Daniel Regha, an outspoken X user, has accused Nigerian pastors of seeking attention through their public prophecies.
As spotted by Quest Times, he specifically highlighted a recent prophecy by Pastor Adeboye, predicting his own death, sparking concern and questioning among followers.
During a discussion earlier today on the platform, Daniel criticized Pastor Adeboye’s prophecy about his peaceful death, which he hopes to occur after enjoying pounded yam, free from illness or stress, unless the rapture occurs sooner.
This declaration, made at the RCCG Holy Ghost Congress, has stirred controversy, with Daniel questioning its relevance to the public and expressing concerns about the impact on Christianity’s credibility.
Pastor Adeboye, known for his influential role, had previously forecasted living to 90, based on a divine revelation in 2021. However, his prophecies haven’t consistently aligned with events, such as the unfulfilled prediction of a more peaceful world in 2023.
Daniel Regha highlighted this pattern of inconsistency among Nigerian pastors, expressing frustration over the lack of alignment between prophecies and reality. He raised serious questions about the credibility and sources of these revelations, emphasizing the need for transparency in the delivery of prophecies within the religious community.
“Pastor Adeboye prophesying about his death is upsetting. Of what use is such info to the public? He might assume but what if rapture happens before then? Honestly speaking things like these are why people question Christianity.
Nigerian pastors do the mast to be in the spotlight,” he wrote.
