Dele Momodu, the Chief Executive Officer of Ovation Magazine, has noted the recent outburst of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, against comments credited to the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, during a rally in Abeokuta.
Momodu stated that Adamu expressed his disappointment in Tinubu and the unpleasant remarks he made against President Buhari during his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while speaking with a journalist on BBC news ‘Hausa’ claiming that his (Tinubu) statements were deliberate.
He went on to say that no one saw when his party’s presidential candidate went to the President to apologize or clarify himself, and that anyone who tries to touch the Commander in Chief will face the consequences.
“It is really sad and highly unpleasant what we heard and see from the former governor of Lagos senator bola Ahmed Tinubu did in Abeokuta.
“The party held him in highest esteem, but unfortunately, he descended on the president, needlessly something he shouldn’t have done no matter what the things anyone did to him.
“He made sure that he got the opportunity to drag president Buhari into his issue, whatever anyone did to him in Abeokuta.
“He even went to the extent of making a mockery of the presidents that without him Buhari wouldn’t have become president.
“Any person with some moral training wouldn’t have behaved in such a very bad manner against the president, narrating how Buhari went to him several times between Lagos and Abuja on kneeling seeking his support. So bad of him. Not at all. Nobody saw Tinubu go to the president to apologize and make clarifications. Even a drunkard will only do that intentionally only if he is wanted to do it. So Tinubu did it intentionally. I won’t say he wasn’t in his sense because he went there to see people and campaign. If we are allowed things to continue this way then only God knows what will happen. Only God Gave power to president Buhari and anybody who tries to touch him will definitely face the consequences”
