Dubai-based commercial aviation giant, Emirates, has offered to enter into a partnership with the Federal Government to establish a national carrier.
This was disclosed by Bashir Ahmad, a media aide to President Buhari in a tweet on Monday, April 4, 2022.

The tweet reads, “The Emirates Airlines has made an offer to partner with Nigeria in its quest to establish a national carrier, a statement from Sen. @HadiSirika, Minister of Aviation Office disclosed that the President of @Emirates, Mr Tim Clark made the offer during a panel discussion in Dubai.”

He continued, “The offer by the management of Emirates Airlines to partner with Nigeria in its quest to establish a national carrier is an encouragement to the many bidders currently preparing their PPP bids for #NigeriaAir in response to the advertised Request for Proposal. – HM Sen Sirika’.
Recall that in 2018, the Federal Government made an attempt to set up a national carrier, Nigeria Air, which failed to take off.
