Social media has erupted in lamentations as Nigerian global superstar, Wizkid failed to pick up a Grammy award despite being nominated in two categories.
Wizkid was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album categories, but lost out on Sunday night to Arooj Ajtab and Nigerian award nemesis, Angelique Kidjo in both categories respectively.
Wizkid FC fans who had been anticipating a successful night due to the global success of his Made In Lagos album, and smash-hit Essence were left stunned as Machala ended the night empty-handed.

In light of the Grammy snub, FC fans took to social media, describing it as a robbery, while some fans dismissed the snub, saying that Wizkid not winning on the night doesn’t diminish the fact that they were solid body of works.
