The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, had predicted that the Super Eagles would qualify for Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In a video clip obtained by Quest Times, the cleric was quoted saying that the three-time African champions will be at the 22nd edition of the international soccer tournament, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022.

“Nigeria will go to World Cup if only they follow instructions. It’s not an issue but if they don’t put it in proper shape, it might not come to reality. We must go to World Cup, it is under MUST,” he said.

However, Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup after losing out to the Black Stars of Ghana by an away goal, a development that put Primate Ayodele’s prediction to question.

Similarly, Primate Ayodele also predicted that the Super Eagles would not win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, which was held in Cameroon earlier this year.

“Before the removal of the Super Eagles coach (Gernot Rohr), I said it since July (2021) and now that they are going for the Nations Cup, Nigeria cannot win.

“They cannot lift the cup, they will only try their best but they can’t succeed because they will be eased out technically,” he said.
