Head coach of the Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum, has once again expressed his dissatisfaction with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over unpaid salaries of coaching and playing staff.
During an interview on The Whistle Podcast, Waldrum revealed that at some point, he was being owed 14 months salary while some players hadn’t been paid in two years. He further questioned the NFF over their utilization of the $960,000 provided by FIFA.
Over the past few weeks, tensions between the American coach and the NFF have been brewing, with disagreements arising on various matters such as the team selection for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, inadequate preparations, and the issue of unpaid salaries.

“In October, every country was given $960,000 from FIFA to prepare for the World Cup, where is that money?.”
“Up until about three weeks ago, I had been owed 14 months’ salary, and then they paid 7 months’ salary.
“We still have players that haven’t been paid since 2 years ago when we played the summer series in the USA…it is a travesty.”
The Super Falcons are currently in Brisbane, Australia preparing for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Randy Waldrum’s side will face Canada, co-hosts Australia and New in Group B.
