During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress, who is a mother to one child, revealed that she deeply regrets her past marriage as she believes it was not the right decision she made when she tied the knot with Edo businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008.

The actress said; “Yes, I regret it because it wasn’t the right move to make.”
‘‘I will get married again if the right person comes at my own time,” she declared.
When asked why she chose surrogacy, Ini Edo said that she settled for the procedure because she didn’t have a husband and she has had many miscarriages in the past that caused her to give up on having her own child.
She said; “I chose surrogacy because I had a couple of miscarriages and I got tired of trying and I didn’t want to try. Since I don’t have a husband, I wanted a child for myself”.
