President Bola Tinubu has tasked Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State and newly appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with his first major project in his new FCT role.
During his keynote address at the Annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Abuja, President Tinubu emphasized that Wike should not feel obligated to grant him any free land.
He urged the FCT Minister to focus on delivering the Abuja metroline for the benefit of the Nigerian people.
The President said: “I would want to ride on your metroline. If I make a request for free land, you should not grant it to me. But please deliver the metroline so that the largest amount of Nigerians can benefit from it.”
