Imo State is buzzing with preparations for Senator Hope Uzodimma’s second term inauguration, scheduled for January 15, 2024.
Quest Times reports that Governor Uzodimma has assembled a dedicated 100-member committee to ensure the event’s success, working tirelessly for a seamless swearing-in ceremony.
Declan Emelumba, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, shared insights into the preparations during a briefing on Thursday.
He emphasized the committee’s commitment to overseeing every detail of the occasion, stating, “The committee has been working round the clock to realise a seamless swearing-in ceremony.”
Moreover, former Senator Chris Anyanwu, representing Imo East senatorial district, has been appointed as the chairperson for the inauguration ceremony.
Emelumba also highlighted the reasons behind Uzodimma’s popularity, citing massive infrastructural development, empowerment of youth, and the implementation of various commendable programmes in the state as key factors that garnered support.
“The people believe that the next four years will be better for them,” he stated.
