The Supreme Court has in a recent ruling, upheld Alex Otti’s position as the Governor of Abia State, dismissing appeals from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates, Okey Ahiwe and Ikechi Emenike.
The court, presided over by a five-man panel led by John Okoro, concluded the case after hearing arguments from all parties involved.
Otti, representing the Labour Party, secured the victory in the March 18 governorship election with 175,466 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Okey Ahiwe of the PDP, who garnered 88,529 votes.
