Nigerian Afropop artist, Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has denied reports suggesting that he hired his former record label boss, Emperor Geezy.
Kizz Daniel clarified the situation through a statement issued by his manager, Louiza Williams, stating that the renewed collaboration with Emperor Geezy, the founder of G-Worldwide, was solely to allow Kizz Daniel more time to focus on his music.
Contrary to viral social media rumors, Kizz Daniel emphasized that he did not sign or hire Emperor Geezy to manage his imprint, Flyboy Inc. He explained that the partnership between them was geared towards fostering mutual artistic growth and innovation.
Kizz Daniel praised Emperor Geezy for rekindling the artist’s creative spirit from his early days in the industry. He stated, “When Emperor Geezy came on board, he awakened the ‘Kizz Daniel’ of where I started, and that is one thing I appreciate about him each time we work together. He is my charger. With the new arrangement, I will have more time to devote to making good music.”
Louiza elaborated on the partnership, clarifying that Kizz Daniel voluntarily handed over his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Flyboy Inc to Emperor Geezy. This collaborative approach allows Kizz Daniel to focus on his music career and strengthen his global fan base while entrusting important business decisions to capable hands.
The decision to collaborate with Emperor Geezy was rooted in their shared vision of creating a supportive and creative environment for the artist.
Notably, the joint venture resulted in the signing of a new artist, Pryme, to both Flyboy Inc and G-Worldwide. Pryme was featured on a track titled “Show You Off” from Kizz Daniel’s latest album, “Maverick.”
