Polling units in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State have witnessed Low turnout of voters, which was observed in two units on Saturday.
According to PUNCH, it was reportedly observed that at Open Space Under Mango Tree, Opp. Kenwon Hotel polling unit 073 expected to have a total 314 voters, eventually those who showed up to cast their votes as of the time of filing this report were just 65 in number.
Similarly, another Polling unit Under the Tree by Jane Palace Hotel, Moremi Area also expected a turn out of 477 voters, the number of persons who were seen was equally low in number.
Additionally, PUNCH alleged that there was also vote-buying at the Open Space Under Mango Tree, Opp. Kenwon Hotel polling unit 073, as people were bribed with money to secure the votes of the electorates after the voting process.
