Two suspected ballot box snatchers were shot yesterday as voters in Kogi State trooped out to elect a new governor.
According to THE NATION, the suspects reportedly lost their lives after they were shot by eagle-eyed soldiers following their attempt to snatch ballot boxes in Anyigba and Ankpa both in Kogi East Senatorial District.
As of now, the identity of the deceased and the political party associated with the individuals remain uncertain.
This information was also confirmed by the Transition Monitoring Group (TMG) through its X account on Saturday, shedding more light on the unfortunate event that unfolded during the election.
