Mustapha Rabiu Musa, son of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has officially assumed leadership of the state Ministry of Youth and Sports in Kano State.
The swearing-in ceremony, overseen by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, marked the beginning of Mustapha Rabiu Musa’s tenure alongside three other newly appointed commissioners.
Joining Mustapha Rabiu Musa in the cabinet are Abduljabbar Garko, entrusted with the Land and Survey Ministry; Shehu Aliyu Yarmedi, appointed to the Ministry for Special Duties; and Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, now leading the Commerce and Industry ministry.
Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, formerly dismissed for his controversial remarks, has been redeployed to a new portfolio, demonstrating Governor Yusuf’s commitment to giving individuals opportunities for redemption and service.
Furthermore, Safiyanu Hamza Kachako will helm the Rural and Community Development Ministry, succeeding Abbas Sani Abbas. A notable change includes the establishment of the Humanitarian Ministry, led by former Commissioner for Special Duties, Amina Abdullahi Sani.
However, the newly established Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security awaits the appointment of a commissioner.
