Nigerians have dug out an old tweet from Olatunbosun Tijani, a Nigerian-British entrepreneur and CEO of CcHub, which has sparked controversy on social media. The tweet, originally posted on July 23, 2019, criticized President Bola Tinubu and his administration.
Tijani’s tweet read, “It is becoming the norm. Tinubu fed them that rubbish narrative with his ‘serving power a la carte’ wisdom. Go invest your time and money into your business if you want to propagate such a rubbish narrative.”
The timing of the tweet’s resurfacing is particularly significant as Olatunbosun Tijani is one of the ministerial nominees in the second batch of the list forwarded to the Senate by President Bola Tinubu.
Reactions to the old tweet have been mixed, with some netizens expressing agreement with Tijani’s past criticism, while others point out the irony of his potential collaboration with Tinubu in the government.
