Police CP Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Commissioner on Friday, revealed the circumstances that led to the death of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad.
CP Idowu, reported that Mohbad’s body reacted to three injections administered to him by a nurse, identified as Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, on September 12, 2023. Soon after the injection he began vomiting and developing goosebumps.
The Lagos CP revealed this at a press briefing on Friday at the state Command headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos.
Owohunwa began the press briefing by giving preliminary reports of the investigation conducted by the police team to unearth the circumstances that led to the sudden death of Mohbad.
The CP said, “As of today, a total of 26 witnesses have been interviewed”.
Furthermore, he noted that those interrogated includes; Mohbad’s father, mother, sisters, brother, wife and manager among several others.
Owohunwa said the singer was brought in dead to the hospital, and he was confirmed dead by the doctors on duty on September 12.
According to the CP, the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, who was actually invited by Mohbad’s friend, identified as Ayobami Sodiq aka Spending, to administer treatment (injection) to the singer at his residence. Consequently, she gave him three injections believed to have resulted to the reactions that eventually led to the singer’s death.
“Mohbad began vomiting and developed goosebumps after the injections,” Owohunwa said.
