The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has denied claims that it’s planning to increase pump prices of Premium Motor Spirit also known as petrol.
In a statement released by the company’s management, on Friday on it’s social media page X (formerly known as Twitter), said this was contrary to speculation.
NNPC stated, “Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated”.
In addition, NNPC Limited noted that its retail petrol stations sell the best quality products at the most affordable prices.
It was gathered that since President Bola Tinubu took over the presidential office in May 29th, declaring that “fuel subsidy is gone”, NNPC has increased its prices at least twice, now sold three times the initial cost at the time which a litre was below N200.
