The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Professor Moji Adeyeye, has appealed to stakeholders and key players in the pharmaceutical sector to adhere to the agency’s vision of ensuring the availability of quality medications for Nigerians.
This appeal was made during the official launch of the ultra-modern wholesale and distribution center for regulated medicines established by New Heights Pharmaceuticals.
Professor Adeyeye commended the company for aligning with NAFDAC’s vision, which aims to provide trustworthy medicines for Nigerians. She emphasized that the center’s establishment resonates with NAFDAC’s goal of traceability, ensuring that drugs and medicines can be traced to authentic and certified manufacturers and distributors nationwide. This, in turn, enhances confidence among caregivers and patients regarding the medications they use. Professor Adeyeye expressed belief that Nigeria can achieve similar standards as other parts of the world.
