Frustrated by the continued strikes embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Nigerian students have taken to the microblogging platform, Twitter, to demand an end to the industrial action.
The students said both the Federal Government and ASUU are simply wasting away the lives of the students with their enforced stay at home.

The hashtag, #ASUUStrikeMustEnd, is on Number Two on the Twitter trend list in Nigeria with over 2,000 tweets in the last few hours.
In several tweets monitored by The Quest, the students said they are tired of staying at home as a result of the lack of agreement between the federal government and ASUU.

ASUU has embarked on industrial action since March over the federal government’s implementation of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) in the universities.
