Some Nigerians reacted with indifference while some others with jokes following the collapse of the national grid on Wednesday, 19 July, 2022.
The Quest Times reported that the grid on Wednesday, July 19, 2022, experienced a system collapse dropping power distribution to 40MW nationwide.
The collapse which occurred at 10.27 am was announced by the Eko Electricity Distribution Company in a tweet on its official Twitter handle @EKEDP
The post reads, “Dear Customers, we regret to inform you of a system collapse on the National grid at precisely 11:27 am today, Wednesday, July 20th. We are in talks with the Transmission Company of Nigeria to ascertain the cause of the collapse and a possible restoration timeline
“We will keep you updated on the situation.“
