High-ranking officials have arrived at the Supreme Court today as they eagerly await the court’s hearing of appeals from presidential candidates.
The candidates, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), are all seeking to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25, 2023, presidential election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Notable attendees include Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser of Nigeria, and Umar Damagum, the acting National Chairman of the PDP.

The seven-member panel leading the proceedings at the apex court is headed by Justice John Okoro. Other esteemed members of the panel include Justices Uwani Abba-Aji, Mohammed Lawal Garba, Adamu Jauro, Ibrahim Saulawa, Tijani Abubakar, and Emmanuel Agim.
