Twitter’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Elon Musk may step down from his role after less than two months on the job.
Elon Musk posted a poll on Twitter Sunday evening, asking people to vote on whether he should step down as CEO of Twitter.
Musk stated that he would follow the poll’s results.
As at the time of filling this report, the poll has ended with over 17million votes, while Yes had 57.5% and No had 42.5%.
Musk implied in several subsequent tweets that he was serious about leaving and issued a vague threat about Twitter’s future if he is voted out.
“As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it,” Musk tweeted.
Musk has moved from one controversy to the next since purchasing Twitter for $44 billion and taking over as CEO in late October.
