Hafsat Lamido Sanusi, the daughter of the former Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, is set to marry Othman El-Kudan on Friday, at the Emir of Zazzau’s Palace in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Quest Times reports that this is Hafsat’s second marriage, having previously been married in 2016, to Abubakar Kurfi at a high-profile ceremony in Kano. The marriage which produced a female child, saw the couple’s divorce in 2018.
The groom, Othman, is a former political adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was previously married to Kannywood actress, Rahman Hassan.
Former Vice President Namadi Sambo will stand as the groom’s father at the low-key wedding, while the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bammali, will stand as the bride’s father.
It is worth noting that Hafsat, a graduate of law since her divorce, bagged a master’s degree in law from Soas University in London.
