Recall that in July 2021, Igboho was arrested alongside his wife, Ropo, in Cotonou, Benin Republic. He had fled Nigeria after the Department of State Services (DSS) raided his residence in Ibadan, Oyo state on July 1, 2021.
Igboho was detained in Benin Republic for over a year before he was released on bail in March 2023. He arrived in Germany on the same day he turned 51.
Congratulatory messages have continued to pour in from Igboho’s well-wishers and supporters.
