Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Seun Kuti, has shared his thoughts on the recent BBC documentary exposing the actions of the late pastor TB Joshua, creating waves on the internet.
Recalling that TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), passed away on June 5, 2021, the BBC conducted interviews with over 30 former members and employees of SCOAN.
The inquiry brought to light the secretive life of the deceased pastor, unveiling instances of abuse, harassment, rape, manipulation, and orchestrated miracles.
In the documentary, a 17-year-old girl shared her distressing experience, accusing the late pastor of rape and instructing her to stay silent.
Other women also came forward, detailing encounters where TB Joshua allegedly forced himself on them.
Seun Kuti, reacting to the documentary on Instagram, expressed his shock at the revelations of rape and fake miracles involving TB Joshua.
He boldly declared his skepticism about any Nigerian pastor’s ability to perform genuine miracles, asserting that these religious leaders are using the church to mask their questionable behaviour.
In his own words, Seun Kuti stated, ‘No Pastor in The whole of Nigeria has Ever Performed one single Real Miracle, They are all Fake Miracles, All the General Overseer Pastors are guilty of all the same offenses BBC has accused TB Joshua of, Now the new Word for “R*pe” is now “TBJ” .’
