President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made several key appointments, including naming Hakeem Muri-Okunola as his principal secretary.
Muri-Okunola, a 51-year-old lawyer, has a long history of service in Lagos, starting as a personal assistant to Governor Tinubu in 2001.
He later served as the Executive Secretary of the Land Use and Allocation Committee and was eventually promoted to permanent secretary. In December 2018, he took on the role of the head of service.
One notable appointment is Moremi Ojudu, the daughter of former special political adviser to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Babafemi Ojudu. Moremi, who supported Tinubu’s campaign, will serve as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on community engagement in the South West region.
Additionally, Tanko Yakasai, Chioma Nweze, Abiodun Essiet, and Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba have been appointed to represent the other five geographical zones. Specifically, Yakasai will cover the North West, Essiet the North Central, Nweze the South East, and Yahaya Abba the North East.
The batch of appointments also includes the reappointment of Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, the former deputy governor of Lagos, as the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals.

Other appointees include Abiodun Arogundade as Senior Special Assistant (Technical, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Education), Barr Yejide Ogundipe as Senior Special Assistant (Food Security), Fatima Farouk as Special Assistant (Office of Minister of Women Affairs), Yinusa Abiodun Muftau as Special Assistant (Agriculture), Emmanuella Eduozor as Special Assistant (Multimedia Content Production), Usman Dabban as Special Assistant (Catering) and Elijah Adeniyi as Special Assistant (Teleprompter)
