Nigeria’s World Champion, Tobi Amusan, has qualified for the final of the Women’s 100m Hurdles at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games with an easy win after clocking 12.40s.
The final is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 7 at the Alexander Arena in Birmingham.
Earlier, Ifechukwude Ikpeoyi beat Sonalben Patel (India) 3-1 to reach the final of the Para Table Tennis event.

Also, Nasiru Sule and Ifechukwude Ikpeoyi got through to the final of their respective Table Tennis Singles Classes. Both won 3-1.
In another development, Team Nigeria is expected to clinch four medals in boxing with the qualifications of Ifeanyi Onyekwere, Jacinta Umunnakwe, Elizabeth Oshoba and Cynthia Ogunsemilore for the semifinals of their different weight classes.
