Rivers State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chris Finebone, has left the party for the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Daily Trust, Finebone, a top ally of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, officially made known his intention to exit the APC in the early hours of Friday.
News of his defection broke Thursday night after his meeting behind closed doors with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

His movement to the PDP came just two days after he criticised the Rivers State government for alleged outbreak of measles in some Rivers communities in Abua Odual Local Government Area of the State.
Finebone is from Opobo Local Government where the governorship candidate of the PDP hails from.
