Bamike Adenibuyan, a former Big Brother Naija star better known as Bambam, has revealed her intense journey through preeclampsia and postpartum depression while expecting her two bundles of joy.
The reality star in a heart-to-heart with media personality Chude Jideonwo, shared her candid experience, disclosing the daunting moment when her placenta detached before reaching the hospital during one of her pregnancies.
Grateful for her husband’s unwavering support, she emphasized the importance of having a partner who understands the challenges of motherhood.
“I look in front of the mirror and thank God for supportive husbands like mine. Imagine I had a man who wasn’t open to the transition phases I went through with each pregnancy,” she said.
Opening up about the physical transformations, Bambam humorously remarked, “I would never have imagined my body getting this thick, no jokes.”
Quest Times further learned that from a size 8 to a 14/16, she navigated skin tags, acne breakouts, and the overall changes that accompany pregnancy.
Reflecting on her second pregnancy, she expressed awe at the unexpected changes, from the colour of her baby’s eyes to the miraculous transformation of her own body.
Her journey was further complicated by preeclampsia, adding an extra layer of concern for her baby’s well-being.
Moreover, Bambam and her husband found solace in a diligent local hospital that played a crucial role in ensuring a safe delivery, despite facing setbacks in pursuing international medical care.
Gratitude filled her voice as she acknowledged the importance of timely medical attention, reflecting on the potential risks had certain tests not been conducted.
