Tottenham Hotspur has turned down Bayern Munich’s latest bid for their star striker, Harry Kane.
The German giants were eager to secure a deal for the English captain, but a disagreement over the player’s valuation has left the negotiations at a standstill.
Despite Bayern’s hopes of landing Kane,30, the two clubs have failed to bridge the gap in their respective assessments of the player’s worth. This has put the potential deal on uncertain ground.
Bayern had indicated that if their pursuit of Kane didn’t pan out this time, they would redirect their attention towards other transfer targets. With over three weeks left in the transfer window, it remains to be seen whether they will follow through on this plan.

Kane, who boasts an impressive record of 280 goals in 435 appearances for Tottenham across various competitions, recently captained his team in a pre-season match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
As Kane’s contract with Tottenham has just one year left, there’s a notable lack of indication that he’s interested in extending his stay. Should Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, opt to retain Kane, it could signify the end of the club’s opportunity to capitalize on their prized asset.
While officials from Bayern engaged in discussions with Levy last week, no agreement was reached. Reports from Bild suggest that personal terms with Kane have already been ironed out.
Tottenham is set to kick off their Premier League campaign against Brentford on August 13th. Bayern’s season, on the other hand, commences with a clash against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup a day prior.
Both clubs, despite the transfer window remaining open until September 1st, are motivated to reach a resolution before the new season gets underway.
