Premier League club, Chelsea have appointed Graham Potter as the new head coach, following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
Potter’s appointment was confirmed in a statement released on the club’s website on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Chelsea wasted no time in opening negotiations with Brighton and Hove Albion for Graham Potter following Tuchel’s departure, with the 47-year-old Englishman signing a 5-year contract according to The Athletic.
Potter has gone on to earn a stellar reputation as a PL manager following his successful spell at Brighton where he led the Seagulls to an impressive 9th place in the league in the 2021/22 season.
The 47-year-old will be hoping to replicate his good fortune at Chelsea who sit in 6th place in the league, with two wins and three losses in their last five matches across all competitions.
