In a groundbreaking revelation, the Department of State Services (DSS) has declared its imminent unveiling of weapons manufactured by its personnel.
Director General Yusuf Bichi made this announcement during the graduation ceremony of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 participants in Abuja.
Bichi stated that the DSS is poised to “produce what it eats and eat what it produces,” with a specific mention of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) among the unveiled arsenal. The move signals a strategic shift toward self-sufficiency within the agency.
Additionally, the DSS chief affirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting the National Institute for Security Studies, emphasizing the importance of knowledge dissemination for bolstering national security.
The EIMC 16, which commenced in February 2023, comprised 89 participants from 35 agencies across Nigeria and four African countries. Sadly, three participants lost their lives during the program, leaving 86 to graduate. Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima was also present at the event.
Director General Bichi encouraged the graduates to apply their acquired skills for the country’s development, urging fellow Nigerians to uphold patriotism while cautioning against warmongers seeking to destabilize the nation.
