Talented Nigerian skit maker Maruf Abdullahi, widely known in the entertainment industry as Trinity Guy, has finally regained his freedom after spending five weeks in detention for his extreme pranks.
Trinity Guy was detained at the Agodi correctional center in Ibadan, Oyo State, following a court ruling. The news of his release was announced on Instagram by another popular skit maker, Abdugalfar Abiola, also known as Cute Abiola.
According to Cute Abiola, Trinity Guy was arrested and detained over a video in which he had asked a female minor to describe his genitals. Fortunately, Trinity Guy has been released on bail, and Cute Abiola extended his well-wishes, praying that Almighty Allah would guide him on the right path.

The incident that led to Trinity Guy’s detention involved allegations of sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old girl. The Oyo State Family Court had ordered his remand, along with the parents of the girl, identified as Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and Rofiat Ahmed, 29. However, Trinity Guy’s lawyer managed to secure his release on bail.
Trinity Guy is currently facing two charges related to sexual abuse and sexual exploitation, which are in violation of Sections 516 of the Nigerian Criminal code cap 38. The case is set for further hearing on August 3, where the involved parties will have the opportunity to present their sides.
