Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, recently shed light on the challenges his son faced during his life. In a candid interview, Mr. Aloba spoke about the difficulties that plagued Mohbad, both within and outside his home.
Mr. Aloba revealed that his son, Mohbad, had encountered numerous hardships, including issues within his marriage. He expressed his concern that Mohbad’s wife had been a source of distress for his late son.
Furthermore, he disclosed that Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, allegedly made unauthorized money transfers from the singer’s phone while he slept, adding to his troubles.
Mr. Aloba also shared that, despite Mohbad’s love for him, his son was unable to provide substantial financial support to him or their family. Tragically, Mohbad couldn’t even afford to buy a single building block before his untimely passing.
In Yoruba, Mr. Aloba stressed that his son faced numerous challenges, both within their family and from external factors. He firmly believed that Mohbad’s death was a result of a combination of these internal and external issues.
The interview has sparked various reactions from the public, with many individuals speculating on the influence of Mohbad’s stepmother on his wife’s decisions. Some have expressed sympathy for Mr. Aloba, emphasizing that he was always there for his son, even after Mohbad’s mother left, and he knows what he is talking about.
Others have criticized the focus on property inheritance and stressed the importance of respecting the fact that Mohbad left behind a wife and a child.
