Former Nigerian lawmaker, Ben Murray-Bruce has disclosed his support for the Naira redesign policy by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
Murray-Bruce also questioned why the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors went to visit President Muhammadu Buhari over the naira redesign, pointing out that they couldn’t make such a visit while the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) was on strike.
He stated this on Saturday via his verified Twitter handle.
The former lawmaker said he supported Emefiele, insisting he was on track.
Murray-Bruce tweeted: “But why are the APC Governors visiting Buhari over the naira redesign? How many times did they visit Buhari when they refused to pay salaries of civil servants? When 3 million students were at home over ASUU strike, they did not visit. Emefiele is on track. I support him!”
