In response to the claims made by Abayomi Arabambi, the National Publicity Secretary of the Lamidi Apapa-led faction of the Labour Party, regarding discrepancies in the credentials of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, LP chieftain Oseloka Obaze spoke out on Wednesday.
Arabambi, during an interview on AIT, pointed out a disparity between the name on Obi’s academic certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and the name on his NYSC certificate.
Obaze, taking to his account on X (formerly known as Twitter), asserted that none of the certificates belonging to the former governor of Anambra State were forged.
To provide further clarity on the authenticity of Peter Obi’s credentials, Obaze shared photographs of Obi’s WASC, Bachelor of Arts (BA), and NYSC certificates.
In a statement on his social media account, Obaze emphasized the importance of integrity and transparency in leadership. He quoted an American saying, “Trust But Verify.” He stated, “Here are Peter Obi’s verified WASC, BA, and NYSC certificates: Nothing fake, nothing forged, nothing unclear. The cornerstones of leadership are integrity and transparency. In comparison, the documents from CSU raise more questions.”
