One of Nigeria’s finest actors, Leo Mezie, has been confirmed dead after a long battle with kidney complications.
According to reports, the actor died on Saturday, May 14.
The actor who had been battling kidney disease, had a transplant last week.

However, he began to develop complications after the surgery.
A colleague, Chioma Toplis, announced his passing on social media on Monday afternoon.

”Actor Leo Mezie is dead. He died on Saturday in Abuja while recovering from kidney transplant. His corpse has been moved to Umuahia (Abia), his hometown. RIP Leo,” she wrote.
Leo Mezie has acted alongside other top Nollywood big stars such as Jerry Williams, Emma Ehummadu, Ernest Asuzu, Jerry Amilo, among a host of other talents. His movies include Total War, No Man’s Land, Close Enemy, Heart of a Slave, etc.
