The President of the Confederation of African Football Federations (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, has announced that Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will grace the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final with his presence.
The AFCON final showdown will see Nigeria face off against hosts Cote d’Ivoire at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, this Sunday. The highly anticipated showdown is scheduled to commence at 9:00 PM Nigerian time.
In a press conference held at the Palace de la Culture in Trechville, Abidjan, Motsepe addressed inquiries regarding Africa’s potential to host the World Cup once more.
The South African business tycoon advocated for Nigeria to consider submitting a bid, citing the significance of President Tinubu’s attendance at the upcoming final. Motsepe expressed his intention to discuss the matter with President Tinubu during his visit.
