Four lives were lost following the collision between a motorbike and a bus near Dinyar Madiga village in Takai Local Government Area of Kano State.
This was disclosed by the Public Relations Office, Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Sunday. He explained that the incident had claimed the lives of four persons, leaving many others Injured.
The statement partly reads;
”It was reported that a motorbike carrying three individuals attempted to overtake a bus, resulting in a collision that caused the bus to overturn and catch fire.”
“Unfortunately, doctors later confirmed the deaths of four individuals who were unable to be identified”.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident was caused by the motorbike rider’s reckless overtaking and excessive speed, leading to a loss of control.”
Saminu Abdullahi also revealed that when they arrived at the scene of the accident, the firefighters discovered that four people were unconscious. However, they were able to rescue six others, including the bus driver. Those who were injured were immediately attended to and transported to Takai NYSC Hospital.
