On Thursday, the Kano State Government officially inaugurated 45 Special Advisers. These advisers, carefully chosen and approved by the State House of Assembly, took their oaths at a ceremony held at Africa House within the Government House.
During the ceremony, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf emphasized the rigorous criteria used in their selection. He stated, “These appointments were made based on merit, dedication, loyalty, commitment, and the expectation that you will relentlessly contribute positively to elevate Kano State to even greater heights.”
Governor Yusuf stressed the importance of diligence in carrying out their responsibilities. He highlighted the administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the interests of the people of the state and fulfilling its campaign promises.

The governor also emphasized the crucial role of these advisers in providing valuable counsel on relevant matters. They are expected to collaborate with other public officeholders and civil servants to ensure the smooth implementation of government policies and programs within the established rules.
Governor Yusuf urged civil servants to be dedicated and committed, as they are essential in realizing the government’s initiatives. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a conducive working environment for civil servants, including addressing salaries and entitlements promptly.
“As the engine room of actualizing government’s initiatives, civil servants need to be dedicated, committed, and render selfless service towards developing our dear state and serving its people diligently,” he said.
