Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, has won seven of the 12 local government areas declared in Lagos State, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party has won five.
Despite losing his local government, Ikeja, to Obi, things appear to be going his way in the state.
The following local government areas had their results announced: Lagos Mainland, Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Island, Badagry, Ikeja, Kosofe, Eti-Osa, Somolu, Amuwo-Odofin, and Agege. The state is divided into 20 local government areas.
Aside from Ikeja, where Mr Obi caused a major upset, the LP candidate also won in Kosofe and Somolu Local Governments, both of which are considered APC strongholds.
