The Nigeria Immigration Office, on Friday, inaugurated the passport office in Offa, Kwara State.
NIS officials in attendance includes; the Comptroller-General, NIS, Mrs Caroline Adepoju; the Olofa of Offa, Mufutau Gbadamosi; and the Comptroller, Kwara State Command, NIS, Aminu Shamsuddin; amongst others.
Recall, Quest Times reported that the NIS boss, on December 1, said barring technical issues, Nigerians would receive their passports three weeks after the day of submission of the application.
Also, she stressed how important it is for every applicant to register with the same records they have in their National Identity Management Commission, while noting that their National Identity Numbers would be linked to their passports.
Mrs Adepoju reiterated these at the opening of the Igbogbo Passport Front Office, Ikorodu, Lagos State, which was her first assignment following her confirmation as the substantive Comptroller-General of the NIS by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
