The Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has unveiled plans to create an innovative Special Intervention Squad aimed at swiftly countering security threats within Nigeria.
During a recent visit to the Government House, Egbetokun disclosed this groundbreaking initiative to Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State.
Named the Special Intervention Squad, this unit is designed to rapidly respond to crises and violent crimes across the country, as outlined by Egbetokun. The success of this endeavor relies on collaboration and support from the Kano State government.

Egbetokun emphasized the necessity of skilled and fairly compensated personnel in the squad to effectively combat the pressing security challenges confronting the nation.
