The Presidency has released a video showing President Bola Tinubu’s arrival at his duty post in the presidential villa in Abuja. The footage, lasting 27 seconds, depicts Tinubu walking alongside approximately 15 aides from his official residence to his office within the villa.
The video, shared by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, captured the moment Tinubu received briefings from HM Bosun Tijani, NCC EVC, and HM Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, at the State House.
This release comes in response to the uproar surrounding the absence of any visual documentation of Tinubu’s return to the country after a two-week absence abroad.
In the past year, Tinubu’s aides and presidency officials have routinely disseminated images and videos of his arrivals and departures from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
These occasions typically involve the presence of top government officials, including the Chief of Staff, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, ministers, governors, and others, bidding farewell or welcoming the president.
However, Tinubu’s recent return, following trips to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, was merely announced through a news flash by NTA, the government-owned media outlet.
