President Bola Tinubu, has returned to the country, ahead of Wednesday’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, after spending a week in Europe.
The President had departed Nigeria on June 20 to participate in the two-day New Global Financial Pact Summit, held in Paris, France.
Tinubu, who was initially scheduled to be back in Abuja on Saturday, proceeded to London, United Kingdom, for a “short private visit.”
According to a State House Press release, Tinubu on Friday concluded his official trip to Paris, France, during which he had an outstanding participation in the summit for “A New Global Financing Pact” hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications & Strategy, Dele Alake, added that the President would be back in the country in time for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival.
The APC in United Kingdom earlier on Tuesday posted pictures of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu meeting with his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, in London, United Kingdom.
The statement reads; “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu [@officialABAT] last night (Monday) met with former President Buhari [@MBuhari] at his residence in London, UK.”

However, the President on Tuesday evening arrived at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos around 5:05 pm.
Tinubu’s Gulfstream jet arrived at the Airport, Ikeja, where he was welcomed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who received him to his home state of Lagos where is expected to celebrate his Eid-el-Kabir.
